If we’re all gonna die anyway, shouldn’t we be enjoying ourselves now? I’d like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor, insignificant preamble to something else…”
Another ‘coming of age’ movie released in 1994 and set in the late 70s, again an example of fictionalised teen/youth culture. Typical high-school students battle peer pressure and relationship dramas. I again took screenshots of particular scenes I felt appropriately connected to our theme and narrative to my writer’s poetry.
I also drew particular interest in moments of close ups with hand actions and gestures – these often felt equally as good at telling a story/describing the scene as if the whole picture was in view.
